nostalgia is evil or whatever, but like, i’ll admit: lately ive definitely been missing PARTS of the 00s. and i think the gyaru (or gal) movement/style is really interesting to talk about. so i was already going to enjoy this on that level, but it think its also super fun and has a great PV! i’ve written the title with GYARU bc i think that’s clearer and more recognizable to english speaking weebs but obviously GAL would be sort of technically correct? the last word in the title is sort of a portmanteau of gal and metamorphose (metamorphosis) which is something you hear in like magical girl and sentai and stuff like that a lot.
